Often, a client has come in because they have felt depressed, anxious, have poor self-esteem, or are having difficult relationships. Others have struggled with trauma and are looking to find meaning and relief. Together, we usually start with an initial evaluation in which we explore symptoms, issues, and goals. Depending on the goals we have set and level of distress, therapy progresses once a week or bi-weekly. I have enjoyed working with clients of all ages, but only work with adults at this time.
I tend to use an eclectic approach that is client-centered. I have worked in several different settings and am comfortable treating a variety of symptoms, or simply work on daily issues that might make relationships and work difficult. I am particularly interested in anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationships.
